Using drama to enhance life skills.Drama Workhouse is a registered charity providing training in drama. We offer bespoke workshops in leadership, communication skills, team-building and confidence-building, which are facilitated by experienced theatre professionals. Our programs are delivered following in depth consultation, ensuring that they meet the needs of the participants. Supporting Drama Workhouse enables our outreach work, bringing drama to those who would not usually have access to the Arts. We run workshops and projects for children, young people, adults and vulnerable groups that focus on the use of drama as a tool for personal development, enhancing social and communication skills, confidence, self-esteem, and self-expression. We run Saturday Crew, which offers weekly workshops open to children aged 7-18, as well as projects in Young Offenders Prisons and with homeless and vulnerable adults, using a 'Creative Skills for Life' approach. Some of our courses are accredited with the Open Colleges Network. We believe strongly in the power of drama to bring people together, break down social and cultural barriers, create more community cohesion, and enable all people to understand their world and make better choices.
