Dreams and Possibilities Finds industrious lower-income people with an idea or opportunity for improving their lives and enriching their community. D&P evaluates clients plans submitted through the website and through outreach programs then makes a judgment about their abilities to carry out their dreams to become a feasible opportunity. Mentors, staff and volunteers assist clients online and in person on how to acquire the necessary skills through the D&P open source empowerment online educational programs. Upon approval the foundation makes small grants to assist in the start up costs. Typical micro grants go for computers for home-based businesses, web hosting, site production/design, DNS name registration, service equipment, media equipment, books, licenses for service businesses, street vendor permits, insurance, and even working capital.
