If we make clothes easier to search, people will buy better clothes.Founded in 2018, Dresswhere is an Australian technology company dedicated to helping users find better clothes through its visual search engine.The visual search engine:Rather than requiring users to know what they want and describe it (keyword search), our visual search engine asks users which of three dresses (or shoes, etc.) they like most. While shoppers often find it hard to describe what they're looking for, or to rule out many styles using filters, it's easy and intuitive to pick a winning dress from three. It's also fun. Users can pick a winner as many times as they like, knowing that the more they click, the more sorted their results will be. Application of the visual search engine:The search engine can be easily applied to the websites of fashion retailers, so that their products appear in the order most appealing to each user (as opposed to 'most popular' en masse).
