Over the last 25 years, I have work with Marketing Directors, Managers (and their assistants), of various Shopping Centres. During this time, I have witnessed first-hand all of the responsibilities they have and the immense pressure they are under to meet the expectations and requirements of these roles; their roles are expansive and filled with unique challenges. Unlike other retail executives, these marketing professionals are responsible for managing multiple brands and maintaining many connections. I have built strong relationships with these marketing professionals; through trust, mutual respect, understanding, and sharing in the joys of their successes, which allowed the relationships to flourish. I genuinely enjoy working with these professionals because I believe they are one-of-a-kind. Their dedication, talent and work ethic are unlike any other professionals in the industry. It's those same reasons that inspired me to establish the 21st Century Shopping Centre Program. My goal is to help to identify, discuss and find solutions to the challenges these properties and their managers regularly encounter. It's my philosophy that, with collaboration and teamwork, we can change the outlook for not only these Shopping Centres but also the community they serve. By partnering with DRH, it means bringing these Shopping Centres into the 21st century and a shift in marketing as well as a change in the property itself. When we partner together to transform a property, we will also be giving back to the local community.
