Drifting Pretty is a non-profit organization for the advancement of women in automotive racing. In addition to racing lessons, Drifting Pretty prides themselves in teaching their students how to be their own mechanics. Students are exposed to numerous resources to better their skills in racing, mechanics, tuning and sportsmanship. Members are first students then evolve into mentors & teachers. This endless circle of learning and giving back has empowered this organization to cultivate a stereo-type-defeating group of women known as Drifting Pretty.HistoryDrifting Pretty was founded by professional racer, Nadine Toyoda-Hsu in 2003 in hopes of encouraging more women to join the US racing circuits. Over the years, Drifting Pretty has been responsible for creating the 1st American all-woman drift team (2004), bringing the 1st women to compete in Formula Drift, a national pro-drift series (2005) and introduced the world to women in drifting in their own show on ESPN2 (2005). Yokohama Tire Corporation brought Drifting Pretty on a national tour in 2004-2005, and Kumho in 2006. At SEMA Las Vegas in 2005, Drifting Pretty was featured on the proving grounds as contest winners won ride-alongs with founder Nadine Toyoda-Hsu. Drifting Pretty has been interviewed and featured in a variety of worldwide TV shows, newspapers, magazines, websites and the topic of many student's term-papers.Over 80 women have jumped into the driver's seat at the track thanks to Drifting Pretty.
