Drink is a Public (and Planet) Benefit Co. introducing carbon negative and zero waste bottled beverages delivered in returnable packaging which have a circular lifecycle of maximized reuse and remanufacturing at end of life, enabling users to have the convenience of ready-to-drink bottled beverages, while reaching their sustainability goals – just return for reuse. Our mission is to replace single-use beverage packaging, and our ambition is to do it in different beverage categories. To start, we are tackling the water category with still water, sparkling water, flavored still water, and flavored sparkling water. These are no ordinary waters – they are better for you, as we remove toxins to make them ultra clean, and add only the highest quality and organic ingredients for maximum hydration, energy boosts, and enjoyment. Drink is local with production in California, where bottles and crates are washed, sterilized and refilled. 1 Drink returnable bottle can be reused 50 times or more, replacing the need for 50 single-use beverage containers or more. That's 98% less packaging needed, meaning that 98% less resources are needed, and 98% less bottles have to be made, and 98% less bottles have to be recycled. Even when accounting for washing, the transportation of glass, and the extra step of return transport, Drink bottles produce about 94% less carbon emissions than single-use beverage containers. And we will be investing in projects to make Drink carbon negative. (Note: crates can be reused for 20 years) Doing good always has side benefits: in Drink's case, reusing bottles and packaging benefits the unit economics, enabling us to provide Drink, a premium product, at competitive prices to single-use plastic and aluminum beverage containers.
