Dropinsea is a project with the aim of being a nonprofit organization that has a mission to increase water access in rural South Africa. Our current rural community developmental program is in Boschfontein, located in the Nkomazi region, with our water source initiative to deliver a model of sustainable water independence.Dropinsea began in 2017 as simply a W.A.S.H project to combat water insecurity for the residents of Boschfontein, mostly vulnerable women and children in rural South Africa. For nearly 6 months, Dropinsea has focused on making a refined model that will enact change through the fixing of broken borehole by a local drilling firm. We want the firm to teach skilled local members the mechanical side of the systems, while they are actually fixing the boreholes in order for them to be able to fix them boreholes in the future.
