The Single Malt Society was founded in 2009 with seventeen members and one simple mission: to learn about single malt scotch whisky in a fun and informal setting.Now one of the largest scotch clubs in the country, the Society has been featured in Whisky Advocate magazine and the Inside the Cask international drinks blog. Our members have sampled over 425 different whiskies at our sessions, which feature interesting themed bottle lineups along with entertaining multimedia presentations.As we enter our twelfth year, the mission of the Single Malt Society remains unchanged from our first session—to create a fun environment in which scotch fans can sample a wide variety of single malts, without any of the snootiness often associated with a wine or spirits tasting group. Members of any experience level are welcome to join, whether newbies or long-time malt maniacs, and we all learn a little something new along the way.
