DSAFÍA is an independent production company founded by the Cuban producer Claudia Olivera in Havana in 2011. It currently resides in both Havana and Santiago de Chile, and focuses on the production of fiction and documentary feature films by female directors (not exclusively).Among the projects that has been produced is August, feature film debut of the Cuban director Armando Capó, in co-production with La Feria Producciones y Paraiso Production Diffusion. August was a beneficiary of the Ibermedia Co-production Support, was a winner of the Co-production Forum in San Sebastian, participated in Cinema Under Construction 32 of this same festival, had the support of the Sundance Institute Feature Film program, and will have its world premier at the Festival Toronto International 2019, in the Discovery section; and its European premier at the San Sebastián Festival 67, in the Horizontes Latino Section. She is currently developing 274, debut of the Cuban director Vanessa Batista, based on the homonymous novel by the Cuban writer based in the United States, Andrés Pi Andreu.
