Du Toit Yacht Design was established by Anton du Toit in 2001, and today, has become South Africa' premier naval architecture firm, having produced more custom catamaran metres and tonnage than any other yacht designer in the southern hemisphere. Du Toit Yacht Design has a team of eight designers and interior planners, and has completed over 120 projects since 2001, including over 25 complete custom and production catamarans. Du Toit Yacht is based in the boat-building hub of Cape Town, South Africa, giving the team easy access to boat building yards, sail lofts and mast manufacturers in Cape Town as well as to the Port.Du Toit Yacht Design was established by Anton du Toit in 2001. In 2007 he was awarded the Disa South African Design Excellence Award. Anton has over 40 years of practical sailing and racing experience in various locations around the world.Du Toit Yacht Design prides itself in being able to work closely with the client as well as the builder to provide specific and detailed design deliverables. This comes from a lifetime of experience of living, cruising and racing on sailboats, maintaining and doing refits on various yachts and powerboats in France, Spain and Fort Lauderdale, and working in various boatyards.
