dublit.com, short for "DUBbing LITerature" was a marketplace for literary content in audio format. Think audible.com meets youtube. Founded by a team of 5 in April of 2006, it ran until August of 2009, when it met an untimely end when someone failed to pay a hosting invoice that was in arrears. Many years later, the market for such a service has converged with hardware and internet usage trends, along with a rising tide of podcasting as a medium for popular entertainment.
