Duckweed USA is the licensed developer of the patented Aurora Synfuel Production System which converts algae into a plant derived refinery feedstock (PDRF) that is a direct seamless substitute for petroleum oil. Other than being dramatically cleaner and easier to refine, PDRF is chemically identical to the petroleum oil used to make gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel, and heating oil. Our patented system of growing and harvesting algae in small, autonomous greenhouses yields upwards of 400,000 gallons or 10,000 barrels of oil per acre annually.
