The Dutchess County Association of REALTORS® (DCAR) is the leading advocate of home ownership rights in the Mid-Hudson Valley. Originally founded by a handful of real estate brokers in 1940 as the Dutchess County Realty Board, the association became the Dutchess County Board of REALTORS in 1964, then finally the Dutchess County Association of REALTORS in 1995. With over 800 REALTORS and 125 Affiliate members, the association serves its members and the public by focusing on Professional Standards Enforcement, Education and Licensing, Governmental Advocacy, Community Service, as well as Networking for Local Professionals. All members of the association are obliged to abide by a strict Code of Ethics.The association is also the guardian of FUEL: DCAR's Professional Connection, which provides networking opportunities for its members and other local professionals in the Mid-Hudson Valley and has become one of the best places for professionals to network in the area.
