Hospital & Health Care - Austin, Texas, United States
Our pediatric services provide a client-centered approach from pre-term/term infants to adolescence. In doing so, we target speech and language delays/disorders, phonological disorders, feeding, stuttering and fluency, as well as voice disorders for those with various medical diagnoses. We firmly believe "our children are the future;" therefore, our goal is to develop age-appropriate skills including carryover strategies in order to instill confidence within the home, educational, and community environments. Our adult services provide a client-centered approach for adults who have acquired difficulties with speech, dysphagia (swallowing disorders), receptive-expressive language, cognitive-communicative, and voice. All of which hinders the ability to function at their highest potential with activities of daily living. Our goal is to tailor services that bridge the gap between our clients' prior level of function and current medical status. In essence, we simply want to improve our clients' quality of life. For over 14 years, our lead speech-language pathologist has provided consultations and training for nursing and dietary staff addressing oral care, dysphagia, dietary, and memory care in skilled nursing facilities, assisted and independent living facilities, and rehabilitation hospitals within Austin and the surrounding areas. This education has played a vital role in maintaining the elderly population's health, safety, and quality of life within these communities. Not only have these consultations and trainings been effective in newly, opened communities, but they also serve as ongoing education for all communities. Pediatric consultations available for preschools and early educational settings. All consultations and trainings are personalized for your needs.
