The EADPP is the first European association for data protection professionals. Its mission is to represent and support its members who, as independent guardians of the GDPR, fulfil their pivotal role, among supervisory authorities, controllers and data subjects. As such the EADPP also seeks to work with organisations active in the field of personal data protection.Founded in November 2018, the EADPP is a not-for-profit association for and by European data protection professionals. This is reflected in the creation of the four EADPP bodies (General Assembly, National Branches, Commissions and Board), each of which is formed by representatives elected from its own ranks.The EADPP's short term goals are:- Creating a European certification for data protection professionals- Increasing EADPP membership among EEA data protection professionals- Establishing a representation at the EU
