Early College Awareness Details
ECA is a college access program that aims to serve rural middle school and high school students by providing greater access to higher education. In this endeavor, ECA visits local schools to hold education sessions about various aspects of the college application and attendance process in order to teach and excite students about opportunities in higher education. Topics include standardized test-taking, personal statement writing, major selection, and more. ECA also hosts exciting visits and tours of Cornell University's campus every spring.ECA partners with Ithaca High School (IHS) to serve its students as part of their Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) program.ECA also partners with Spencer-Van Etten Middle School (SVE) and Waverly Middle School
