Earthrace Conservation is a powerful fusion of direct action, knowledge and expertise, education, and most importantly, passion, which we strongly believe will grow into one of the most effective marine conservation groups in the world.The oceans cover over 70% of the earth's surface – they are vast. The scale of the problems and issues being faced by marine mammals and the habitats they live in is equally immense.In this, our first year, we will launch missions in connection with the continuing annual slaughters of cetaceans and other marine mammals in various countries across the world; the plight of endangered sea turtles in countries where they are still legally hunted; the trade in shark products, fins in particular; and the prevalence of poaching and other illegal fishing activities around the world that decimate habitats and local livelihoods, and kill associated marine life through by-catch.
