Senior Director of Out of School Time programs at East End House
East End House community center uses a holistic approach to promote the well-being, academic achievement, and successful transition to adulthood of children and youth from under-resourced families in Cambridge and surrounding communities. As part of the approach, East End House provides support services to a diverse population, from infants to seniors, to strengthen family and community. East End House has repeatedly been recognized for innovation and excellence. Two years in a row, the Annie E. Casey Foundation and the UNCA celebrated East End House's family engagement with the Families Count: Family Strengthening Award. The agency also won the Massachusetts Nonprofit Network Management Award in 2010. That same year, East End House met more than 300 quality standards in administration, finance and service delivery to become the first agency in the country to be accredited as an agency and separately as an after school provider. In 2011, East End House's Generating and Evaluating New Adventures in Science initiative was named a finalist for the Social Innovation Forum's STEM track. A Theory of Change blueprint aligns all programming to the long term goal of youth completing at least two years of post-secondary education or finding gainful employment by age 24. Core programs include Child Care, School Age and Middle School Programs that help children develop the tools they need for life-long academic and social success.
