The East Montgomery County Improvement District (EMCID), located 25 minutes from downtown Houston, is a political subdivision of the state of Texas responsible for promoting economic and community development. We recruit retail, commercial and industrial businesses to locate within our 158 square miles, provide community development in the form of grants, special projects and free festivals, and offer educational initiatives such as scholarships for local students. East Montgomery County is home to the Valley Ranch Town Center, Houston's largest mixed-use development under construction, and a new sports and entertainment district that includes Big Rivers Waterpark, Gator Bayou Adventure Park, Speedsportz Racing Park, and a planned theme park. Our industrial park contains about 500 acres on several improved tracts of land suited for your expansion needs. This means expenses of newly constructed roads, power supply, water and sewer systems, and detention have already been taken care of. Additionally, your business will be locating in a premier environment located within minutes of Bush Intercontinental Airport and the Port of Houston, and it will receive extensive exposure due to contained development. We offer financial incentives, an available workforce, and an outstanding logistic infrastructure that are especially attractive for your expansion needs. The East Montgomery County Improvement District is led by President & CEO, Frank McCrady, and eight elected Board of Directors who serve four-year terms: Brenda Webb, Chairman of the Board, Stephen Carlisle, Dale Martin, Dr. Katherine Persson, Leonard Rogers, Richard Tramm. Fred Wetz, and Martin Zepeda,
