At EasTex Veterinary Clinic we make it a point to provide the highest quality medical and surgical care for both our small and large animal patients. We strive to fulfill our Client's veterinary needs through client education, the latest medical knowledge, and a dedicated work ethic. It is our goal to maintain these relationships with compassion, honesty, accessibility, and teamwork.Established in January of 1984 by Dr. James Weatherly, EasTex Veterinary Clinic was originally between Highway 59 and Highway 259 North. In a building of only 900 square feet and cattle pens without roofs, Dr. Weatherly worked 80-100 hours a week for 16 years, accompanied by his retired father, primarily on cattle, though they also treated small animals and equine. In 2000, Dr. Jason Richards joined Dr. Weatherly to build EasTex Veterinary Clinic into much of what it is today. In 2015, Dr. Weatherly officially retired from veterinary work. He is now enjoying some much deserved time with family and friends. Also in 2015, Dr. Acuña joined Dr. Richards as a co-owner of the practice. Since then, the practice has continued to flourish in serving our East Texas clients and beyond.Today, our clinic is made up of a 5,000 square foot small animal facility, 12,000 square foot large animal facility, and an on site crematory. Dr. Richards and Dr. Acuña work full-time toward achieving our mission of providing the highest quality care for our patients.
