E-learning - Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa
Advances in technology in medicine present unique philosophical challenges in healthcare. This is my interest and I intend to deliver educational solutions to the industry and public primarily through the vehicle of e-learning. Not only will health care professionals, across all disciplines, attain their CPD/CPE points but will also meaningfully strengthen their knowledge and preparedness in regards to the dilemmas and opportunities presented by these medical innovations. The case-study approach coupled with a fast-paced and energetic presentation of new technology advances, (both published in academia as well as in general and medical reporting) will be summarised. In accordance with the guidelines of the HPCSA, a multiple choice questionnaire will be used to assess the HCP and award the points. Customers will also receive technical support to operate the website. The user will have a saved profile in the secure system, where they will be able to track their progress and accumulation of points. An online assistant will contact the HCP and advise of expiry of points as well as of courses bought which have not been attended - these communications will be to the mutual benefit of the HCP and the website. Customers will also enjoy other benefits, such as gaining access to useful and educational materials in addition to the courses purchased; receiving a relevant and a useful industry newsletter and online magazine. As opposed to attending a once-off event or CPD meeting online, the Health Care Provider will maintain their access to the content for 24 months after purchase. This way, they may reference the training and continue to derive value long after their CPD has been submitted to the authority. Easy Ethics CPD aims to revive interest among industry in medical ethics. To stimulate and empower all stakeholders in the noble profession of medicine for the challenges that lie ahead.
