Our story starts in 2003 when our founder, Brandon Pitman, realized that he wanted to help others achieve their dreams. Since then, we have learned that dreams come in a variety of shapes and sizes; therefore, our culture has been directed toward helping hopeful entrepreneurs and dedicated small business owners find their way. The desire to help small businesses began in Kansas City, Missouri, while Brandon was working for a family owned restaurant in the city's River Market. He worked for the family a total of four and a half years, and had the opportunity to see how the family connected with their patrons. During this time, Brandon noticed a number of businesses in the same area open and close their doors without showing any signs of progress or development. This raised the question, "What are we doing that others aren't?" Over the next 10 years, Brandon continued working for small businesses, looking for more answers. He has seen the operating standards in a variety of industries from Italian delis to psychiatric practices; and even a chauffeur company that grew from having one sedan to being an international business with a large number of affiliates all over the world. Through this experience, EC Sales and Development has learned the truth behind what makes a small business owner great! The difference between the restaurant in Kansas City and the other companies is this: the restaurant made calculated steps directed toward short-term goals; whereas, the businesses that closed their doors were strictly focused on the end result of making money. EC Sales and Development has been active in small business development since 2013, and has worked to create a true feeling of support within small businesses and the communities where they operate.
