ECIU Details
Since 1997 ECIU (European Consortium of Innovative Universities) has grown into a network of 13 universities. Our collaboration is grounded in expertise in innovative education, research and knowledge exchange. The ECIU University is the first European university where learners and researchers cooperate with cities and businesses to solve real-life challenges. The ECIU University allows us to take our partnership to the next level, by establishing the foundations for a true European university overarching the participating member institutions. Our innovative university model was launched in November 2019, after it was selected by the European Commission under the pilot call for European Universities. The ECIU University is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.
