Research - Écully, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France
The mission of Ecole Centrale de Lyon is to train engineers and doctors open to the world and able to answer tomorrow's scientific challenges. Each year nearly 400 student engineers and 70 doctors graduate (215 PhD students attended the school in 2013-2014). The academic paths capitalise on excellence gained by research of the 6 laboratories accredited by the CNRS (French National Research Center) present on campus and from the influence of 7 international research structures in Korea, Japan, China, Brazil, Australia, and Canada in which the school is involved. In a spirit of mutual openness to all institutions of the « Groupe des Ecoles Centrales » , the very high level education in general engineering has made allows the Ecole Centrale de Lyon to be recognised nationally and internationally by many companies as well as by prestigious universities with which the school confirmed by many double degree agreements.
