Higher Education - Nancy, Grand Est, France
EEIGM is one of the 10 engineering schools of the University of Lorraine. Basic materials (metals, polymers, and ceramics) are behind the most sophisticated modern materials (composites, biomaterials, nanomaterials, smart materials, etc.) and nowadays need to be increasingly efficient and environmentally friendly. The EEIGM engineer plays a leading role in this new "material odyssey". From their conception to recycling, EEIGM focuses on working on developing these materials with sustainable development in mind. Thanks to its international learning pathway, EEIGM is unique and its students leave the school more open-minded and flexible. During the course of their studies, each EEIGM graduate will spend at least one year abroad (studying, research internship, industrial internship) and carry out two in-country language stays. For three years he/she will meet and work with students from all over the world, acquire a truly European culture and therefore will be able to speak four languages (French, English, German, and Spanish). In 2013, EEIGM launched a sandwich course in Materials engineering
