Participating in University of Illinois at Chicago's Economics Club is an excellent way for students to learn more about economics and what one can do with an economics degree after graduation. The Club also provides a good opportunity to meet other students with similar interests and to interact with members of the Economics faculty informally outside of the classroom. Students interested in developing leadership skills are encouraged to participate in the Club as officers, helping to plan and organize the various events. Overall, participating in the Club is a useful and meaningful extracurricular activity, and all students interested in economics are encouraged to join.Who should join?All undergraduate students interested in economics, whether or not they are majoring in economics, are invited to join the Undergraduate Economics Club.When does the Economics Club meet?The Club meets on Wednesdays, 2:00PM, during the Fall and Spring semesters, in Room 850 UH. Information about the weekly events is posted on the bulletin boards in the Economics Department on the 8th floor of University Hall, in the Behavioral Sciences Building, and on this website. Currently, Econ club meets via Zoom at 2:00pm.
