Ecospend is a financial data and payments platform built exclusively for Open Finance since the inception of PSD2. We have invested in building direct connections to all supporting banks for three reasons: o introduce new services quickly, to advise our partners on what is and is not possible directly and to keep our operational costs to a minimum, so as to be attractive to our partners. Led by a group of experienced industry veterans from Banking, Payments, Technology and Digital Media, we have been building bespoke Open Finance ecosystems for businesses across multiple sectors since 2018.Our mission is to fully leverage the myriad of opportunities brought by emerging Open Banking regulation in the UK, Europe and worldwide. Ecospend is accredited [and authorised] by the FCA as both an AISP (data services) and PISP (payment facilitation). Today we have full coverage, by API, of all participating banks in the UK. We will be extending our bank coverage in key European markets during 2021 as they come online under the EU specific PSD2 regulations.Our services are available via APIs, gateways and we have also produced mobile apps for request to pay services [see speedypay.io] and are soon to introduce a radical new approach to accessing financial information: which builds on the learning and techniques and governance introduced by the Self Sovereign Identity community. This service will be introduced under the brand VALIDO [www.valido.io].
