Founded in 2016, our main goal is to share Earth's natural beauty with the world via our own handmade creations, forged from scratch using only the finest and most ethically sourced materials available. We create jewelry that embodies our love of the natural beauty that exists all around us on this planet, we build with a 'buy it for life' mentality, our pieces are constructed to last lifetimes; all of our pieces come with a limited lifetime warranty against any manufacturing defects. Our pieces are crafted with the timeless sense of nature in mind, sure to keep up with the rapid pace of our advancing world and your continuously evolving life. We constantly create to the highest standards according to the ebb and flow of our collective thoughts and energies.Treating each piece of jewelry we create as an art piece and a meditation on the creation of new shapes and designs in nature itself is a tremendous gift second only to sharing these works. When artistic intention and the raw elements of our planet combine in such an intentional way, one with beauty in mind, the materials that Mother Nature has provided in the forms of fine metals and elegant gemstones come alive and begin to express for themselves, they take on a new life, and that life continues long past our initial influence.We source all of our raw metals from reputable US suppliers who uphold top production standards. Most of our stones are sourced in their rough form from around the globe. We work directly with miners and brokers to ensure that the stones we are getting are both ethically sourced and of the highest possible quality. We cut most of our stones in-house in our studio in Ashland, Oregon. Any stones not cut by us are sent through the hands of multiple experts and most are GIA or otherwise certified stones; we are also members of the Roxy Anne Gem and Mineral Society.Ecotone was founded by Shane Hark and Molly Courtney. Ecotone's founders have a mixed background in fine Arts, gallery work, industrial metalsmithing, and environmental science, among other things. They have found a love of the art that you can take with you, art that becomes an aspect of your daily life and an extension of your body itself. Jewelry is something that has always had significance throughout all of human history, it is the way that we choose to adorn and express ourselves in many if not all cultures throughout our ancient past. Because the materials used can stand the test of time, jewelry has often been a direct archeological link back to past selves, a reminder of who and what we were, and how we grew to become who we are now.
