The Vision of Eden Canoes is to provide a pathway towards Hope through Listening, Virtue, Skills and shared Activity. The skills and shared activity will focus on constructing wood canoes using a variety of construction techniques from ‘stitch and glue' and ‘rip and strip' to traditional bark canoes. This pathway will primarily be offered to indigenous youth but it will also explore programs for diverse groups. We hope that Eden Canoes will eventually have Vocational Training and Workshop components as well as a capacity for ‘Paddle Tours' and Canoe sales.
