The Emergent Design Group is a contemporary design Exchange that focuses on planning, urban design, and landscape architecture. Our work spans multiple scales and product types, working in both public and private realms to create sustainable and iconic projects. Our design philosophy looks to exploit the intrinsic character and potential of each site to craft a unique and memorable experience for users. We create organizational landscapes comprised of programmed layers that enhance the sites performative characteristics. Our designs favor performance, efficiency, authenticity, and social relevance. We believe a well-designed landscape can yield surprises that change perceptions about how we interact with our environment and ultimately redefine how we experience our cities. EDGE explores ideas of mobility, equity, ecology, and art that coalesce into memorable experiences that improve our quality of life. We approach each new project with fresh ideas void of preconceived notions. Our designs evoke creativity and modernity resulting in unique spaces that are rooted in culture and ecology.
