Currently we have The School Wellbeing Assessment Tool (SWAT), and The Children's Centre Tracker.The School Wellbeing Assessment Tool (SWAT)Is a new type of assessment tool - one that measures pupil wellbeing and alerts staff to children and pupils that need support.SWAT (Schools Wellbeing Assessment Tool) is a quick and easy way of identifying children and young people in school experiencing poor wellbeing.SWAT is not a clinical assessment tool- SWAT allows schools to take a ‘snap shot' of children's current state of mind at any given time.It allows leaders to assess classes, year groups and even whole school wellbeing.In Future in Mind, the Government encouraged all schools to develop whole school approaches to mental health and wellbeing – SWAT allows;This snap shot allows school leaders to:-Support pupils quickly and reduce anxiety-Target support more effectively-Understand the issues affecting children in school, at home and in the environment-Identify and address issues quickly and effectively-Plan for a whole school approach to wellbeing-Take a proactive and preventive measures to address pupils wellbeing.More information is available at www.swat.org.ukThe Children's Centre Tracking System.This system can track progress and outcomes of families accessing services provided by Sure Start Children's Centre's around the country.The tracking system has been designed in consultation with Children's Centre Managers in response to the growing need for Children's Centre's to demonstrate the impact they can have on the long term outcomes for children.More information is available at www.childrenscentretracker.co.uk
