The mission of the Educational Enrichment for Young Patriots is to provide sustained instructional enrichment of specific Virginia Standards of Learning (SOL) in history and social sciences at no cost to Virginia public schools K-12. The enrichments provide living historical interpretations in period dress, while advocating principles of leadership (civics), to augment textbook and classroom instruction. EEYP was organized in 2009 to help reduce a forty percent failure rate in history and social sciences among students in Spotsylvania County. EEYP seeks to inspire students to greatness by focusing on past examples of leaders in America and apply these traits to each student's personal, academic, and community life.
