EDX Consulting® was born from the simple belief that the team is the heart of the ER and that teams must be built on the foundations of mutual respect and civility in the workplace. We believe these teams are more efficient, more agile and better prepared to adapt to the ever changing conditions of the emergency department. Finally, we believe these teams are best led by engaged and responsive leaders who welcome innovation, encourage collaboration, and promote civility in the workplace.Visit our website to learn more about leadership development opportunities through our LEADERS® and CARES® workshops which are designed to improve leadership engagement, increase leaders' emotional intelligence and promote civility in the workplace. Our ENRICH® workshop teaches emergency room staff how to decisively manage their initial emotional response to conflict and hostility by strengthening their awareness of their own inherent resilience and examining external resources of resilience that resonate with their individual personal values. Team cohesion and cooperation are addressed in our TEAM PRO® workshop. In this interactive seminar we challenge participants to examine their own experiences with workplace incivility and guide them in the development of strategies to minimizing its occurrence and mitigating its impact. Finally, our PACE 2R® methodology provides a framework for rapid adaptation of processes based upon current and evolving conditions in the emergency room. An iterative methodology grounded in teamwork, versatility, adaptability and innovation, PACE 2R® accounts for the one thing often overlooked in other process improvement methodologies; the humanity of our emergency medicine staff.
