Industrial Automation - Bruchsal, Baden-Württemberg, Germany
efeuCampus Bruchsal GmbH intends to establish the lighthouse project efeuCampus (eco-friendly experimental urban logistics campus) on the site of the former Dragonerkaserne ("efeuQuartier") as part of the RegioWin research project "Innovation centre for autonomous urban freight logistics" funded by the state of Baden-Württemberg. This lighthouse project is to become a permanent source of inspiration for the business location Bruchsal for the development of solutions for last mile freight logistics and autonomous vehicle technology. In the efeuQuartier, a residential quarter of the future is to be created in the medium term as a "habitable laboratory", in which technologies for energy-efficient building and living in the spirit of the energy turnaround will be tested and presented. In this reference quarter, which is unique in Europe, goods of all kinds are to be moved with innovative vehicles, emission-free, generationally appropriate and driverless. The sustainable reduction of motorised delivery traffic on the so-called last mile is intended to reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions and to decisively improve the quality of life in the neighbourhood. The experience gathered in the efeuCampus Innovation Centre is to be evaluated and published for a wide range of applications. For this communicative interface function internally and externally, the efeuAkademie was founded as a sub-project.
