Egypt's International Economic Forum was founded in 1998 by a group of prominent Egyptians as a reflection of their commitment to ensure the comprehensiveness, sustainability and consistency of Egyptian reform policies, with the ultimate objective of fully integrating the Egyptian economy into the world economy on favorable terms. Since its inception, and with its mission "Committed to Egypt's Economic Prosperity", The Forum has quickly grown to become one of the most dynamic and highly effective nongovernmental organizations in Egypt. Out of a strong belief in the interconnectedness of reform issues, the Forum interests and program areas are by no means limited to the economic sphere. The Forum's activities and programs also cover political, social and cultural developments, thus enhancing the Forum's role as a catalyst of reform efforts in Egypt and a positive agent of change. For that purpose, the Forum engages various stakeholders (government, business, research institutes, think tanks, and the media) both nationally and internationally in dialogues, debates and discussions addressing economic and political reforms and policies that impact Egypt and the region. We host specialized and general business and economic events in Egypt and abroad, organize and support business missions abroad and undertake research work and studies on specific issues upon request. The Forum also pays particular attention to Egypt's ever-expanding web of foreign relations through partnerships and joint programs with counterparts engaged in similar activities on both the regional and global levels. The Forum's unique "Strategy Groups" structure covering specific areas of interest, such as Education, Health, Banking and Finance, Oil and Gas, Information Technology, the United States, Europe, the Arab World, etc., act as the Forum's brain trust and the incubator of ideas, projects and programs.
