Soliciting opinions on Online OSHA Training versus traditional Classroom StylePerhaps I am a traditionalist. Maybe I need to adapt more to the modern society in which we live. Possibly I may be too biased since I am an OSHA Trainer. As a 25 year EH&S Professional, I simply can not accept the belief that ONLINE OSHA training can really replace instructor-led, classroom training. As I finished a 8 hour OSHA Hazwoper Refresher Training in Florida yesterday, I chatted with a few of the students (some of whom were coming for Day 4 of the 40 Hour Class - also called Internet Dress Out) about the other 32 hours of training that they received online. What they both told me is that they are required to sit through a total of 32 hours online and that after a few hours, they had finished the Day 1 lesson and then spent the rest of the day moving the mouse to make it look like they were still online so they could reach the mandatory 10 hour day.
