Public Safety - Long Branch, NJ, US
Elberon First Aid Squad has been providing volunteer emergency medical services in the City of Long Branch, NJ since 1948. Our dedicated members volunteer their time to answer the call for service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Located in the historic Elberon section of Long Branch, NJ, our first aid squad serves the citizens of our long standing beach community. Assistance is also provided to neighboring towns during their time of need. In addition to providing emergency medical services, Elberon First Aid Squad provides monthly training to all members in order to keep their life-saving skills current. The squad also volunteers emergency medical resources during special events such as the annual New Jersey Marathon and automobile races at Wall Stadium. Our squad's fleet consists of a 2017 Ford E-350 Type III Medix Ambulance, a 2006 Ford E-350 Type III P&L Custom Ambulance, and a 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe for our squad's officers. In addition to our active apparatus, we are also proud of our 1965 Cadillac Superior Ambulance which is still up and running today. Originally the squad's only active ambulance, this antique vehicle has been kept in excellent operational condition. While our Cadillac no longer responds to calls, it is still shared with the public at car shows and parades. As a non-profit organization that relies on dedicated volunteers, we are always looking for new members, please contact us if you are interested!
