ElderHomes Corporation (EHC) is a not-for-profit community development corporation. Its mission is to improve the housing and living conditions of elderly, disabled, and low-income persons in Metropolitan Richmond and the Tri-Cities regions. EHC was founded in 1992 by the Central Virginia Area Agency on Aging (now Senior Connections) to focus on the housing needs of seniors. Since then, EHC has expanded its mission to help non-seniors who are low-income or have a disability. The organization is committed to changing lives and improving neighborhoods one home at a time. Renew Crew is the volunteer division of ElderHomes Corporation. Each year, Renew Crew and a team of more than 1,000 volunteers perform more than 250 housing projects. Its volunteers are individuals as well as groups and many are highly skilled in specific construction trades.
