E.L.E Festival Details
The music festival is entitled "E.L.E-lectricity" or E.L.E Fest for short. E.L.E stands for Everybody Love Everybody. Thus, E.L.E-Lectricity is the energy that brings us all together. Our focus is on giving young local artists the opportunity to showcase their talent, while demonstrating the positive impact music can have on the community. Whenever possible, we encourage artists of different styles to take the stage together in one-of-a-kind collaborative performances. In the true spirit of E.L.E, they not only shine a light on themselves, but also on their peers – we are capable of more together than we are apart.We partner with The Candlelighter's Childhood Cancer Support Programs, a local charity working to help families cope with effects of childhood cancer. Fortunately, The Community Life Service at the University of Ottawa has agreed to partially fund the project, allowing us to make admission free. Therefore, donations will be accepted at the event, to be put towards the Candlelighters' Support Program. In addition, any excess money from sponsorship will be put towards the Candlelighters once the technical costs associated with the festival are covered.Creating opportunities for youth is the central theme for our festival, and we're excited to be putting our collective energies towards creating a better future for those even younger than us. At its core, E.L.E is more than a music festival; it is a collection of young energetic individuals who are eager to make music mean something. Join us and experience E.L.E.
