Company Electric Powersteering Components Europe s.r.o. (EPCE) was established in 2002 as a joint venture of the two global corporations JTEKT and MELCO. As of August 2018 the company was wholly owned by the global concern MELCO (Mitsubishi Electric Corporation), registered in Tokyo, Japan. Company EPCE merged with its sister company MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC AUTOMOTIVE CZECH s.r.o.(MEAC) in April 2019 and after the merger ceased to exist. New merged company MEAC which belongs to the Automotive Equipment Group of Mitsubishi Electric Corporation is one of the important automotive components manufacturers in Europe.
