We are a team of six secondary school students from Orpington, London, competing in the F1 in Schools STEM Challenge. During the 2020/1 season, we had the huge honour of representing England at the World Finals, in which we won the coveted McLaren Research and Development Award, as well as finishing 6th out of over 40 teams.Our journey started back in 2018 when ELECTRON was founded by Moosa, Kavin, Kaylan and Nathan. Since then , our team has grown in numbers and strength, progressing from the Development Class into the Professional Class. At the 2020 National Finals, we garnered nominations for Star Quality Verbal Presentation and Team Identity, and finished 2nd overall with the 2nd fastest car, comfortably qualifying for the prestigious World Finals.We aim to continue to improve and develop, and are eagerly looking forward to the next stage of our project, with hopefully another trip to the World Finals during 2022.
