The Electronics and Controls Team is a sub-team of the James Madison University's Collegiate Wind Competition Team. This team work with The Rotor Design's Design to successfully design a wind turbine for the competition hosted by the Department of Energy. The final functional turbine design will be showcased at the American Wind Energy Conference on May 2018. The Electronics and Controls team's goal is to regulate and condition the power generated by the wind turbine within the rules and regulation of the Collegiate Wind Competition (CWC), while optimizing the performance of the turbine accordance to the CWC scoring matrix through development of electrical and mechanical systems.
