Elemental Music is an innovative and exciting music program designed exclusively for kindergarten aged children. A travelling program, Elemental Music comes to your children in their learning centre. This means no additional travel for parents, and allows children to learn in the environment they are used to, and most comfortable in.Our content is all original, with songs, characters, activities and games all created by us and used exclusively in our program. Child friendly songs with actions improve recall, and interactive elements increase engagement and have students dancing and singing along, not sitting and watching from the sidelines. A native theme is seen in our Australian characters that help us learn to read music, allowing students to relate the characters back to animals they have seen here and have grown up learning about. As experienced primary aged educators, we understand how difficult it can be when young students are thrown into a situation where they get to choose an instrument but have little to no knowledge of the choices available to them, and how difficult it is after they have made a choice, to learn all aspects of music playing and reading simultaneously. Our program makes this transition much easier. Students will learn about the four instrument families, with specific knowledge about four instruments from each family, understanding how they sound, how they're held and the different kinds of music they can play. Then, we will move on to the basics of reading music, setting future musicians up for an easier transition into instrumental music lessons, or even just a head start for their first music lessons at primary school.Elemental Music has already brought music to the classrooms of three childcare centres in the Melbourne region.
