Elephant Action League (EAL) is an innovative hybrid non-profit organization that merges the worlds of high-level security, intelligence and conservation in service of wildlife and the people who protect it. Its mission is to fight wildlife & forest crime through Concrete, Innovative and Collaborative projects. NEW HORIZONS IN WILDLIFE & FOREST PROTECTION When coupled with definitive, decisive action, intelligence and political will are the most powerful weapons in the war against wildlife crime. Using cutting-edge technology and methodologies employed by the government and business sectors, EAL gathers much-needed intelligence on the key players and modus operandi of businesses and criminal networks that are perpetrating and profiting from wildlife crime. Working also behind the scenes, EAL releases public reports and confidential intel briefs (CIBs) that shares with selected and trusted agencies and organizations that are in a position to either prevent wildlife crime or disrupt the criminal networks. EAL conducts deep-cover field investigations and other information gathering activities in Africa and Asia. This includes infiltrating criminal networks, investigating transit hubs, collecting information from multisectoral, international informants and managing the world's first wildlife crime whistleblowing initiative, WildLeaks, built on the Tor technology (created and entirely managed by EAL). A project-driven / results oriented organization, influenced by the business/security background of some of the founders, EAL operates in the following four macro-areas: 1) Information Gathering/Intelligence 2) Field Investigations 3) Capacity Building 4) Awareness & Communication www.elephantleague.org facebook.com/ElephantLeague twitter.com/ElephantLeague www.wildleaks.org facebook.com/wildleaks twitter.com/wildleaks
