Elephant Origins Tea is a mission-driven company that supports conservation of endangered elephants in tea lands of India, where the last of the species roam wild but need vital protection. Elephant-friendly practices for our tea growers are verified through certification under the Elephant Friendly™ Certification program of the Wildlife Friendly Enterprise Network, a program developed in partnership with the University of Montana and experts across the globe. We are proud to support family-owned farms that apply best practices for the protection of elephants and employ fair trade and organic production practices. Elephants and tea have been linked for centuries, yet to protect the species we need to encourage elephant-friendly practices that protect habitat, eliminate risks of elephant mortalities such as electrocutions, poisonings, and ditch hazards, and reduce human-elephant conflict.
