Elgin City Church is a new Spirit-filled church in Elgin, Illinois that is connecting the unconnected. We exist to connect those that are far from God, to relationship with God through Jesus Christ. (1 Peter 2:10) We also, exist to connect one another together in community and reproduce those relationships in others. (Rom. 12:10)Our Mission: Connecting the UnconnectedOur vision is to become a multiplying, vibrant, network of HOUSE CHURCHES that change the Chicagoland suburbs. We consider ourselves apostolic in the sense that we seek to become a SENDING CHURCH. We also consider ourselves PROPHETIC in the sense that we speak God's heart of justice to our culture and the world around us. We meet Sunday's in homes that center around the Lord's supper as a full meal, participatory meetings, prayer and fellowship. (Acts 2) We eventually will also launch a public, Thursday night service that will consist of celebration in worship and extended Bible teaching and evangelistic outreach. Our meetings prioritize the presence of God, through worship, prayer and testimony. We are always looking for committed spiritual leaders to help us grow.
