The Elie Wiesel Center for Jewish Studies is an interdisciplinary academic center of the College of Arts and Sciences with currently fifteen core and sixteen affiliated faculty members. The Center administers undergraduate programs in Jewish Studies and in Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights Studies. We support graduate students and host visiting faculty and post-doctoral research fellows. Our mission is excellence in teaching and research, and the fostering of meaningful engagement with the rich legacy of Jewish culture. Our work is inspired by the distinguished legacy of Nobel Laureate, Holocaust survivor, and long-time BU Humanities professor Elie Wiesel (1928-2016).
