This site was created in July 2000, having as founding spirit, to unite the friendship of the Latin American Submariner Community, a meeting point for professionals and amateurs, sharing experience and anecdotes, a place of debate and source of consultation on all topics related to the origins and evolution of submarines. Baptized with the name "elSnorkel" as a symbol of the conventional propulsion currently characteristic of all Latin American Navy submarines.
