The Czech Republic and the Republic of Korea share common values, democratic principles, market economy and mutual respect for human rights. The Republic of Korea is one of the most important trade, political and culture partners of the Czech Republic outside Europe. Many Korean companies have chosen the Czech Republic as an ideal place for their investments and the Korean public is keenly interested in the Czech culture. More than 350 000 Korean tourists visit the Czech Republic every year. In 2015 the Czech Republic and the Republic of Korea established the Strategic Partnership in order to further intensify the relationship in all relevant areas.
