Embla aims to allow Parkinson's patients to stay in touch with their touch screen devices. Embla is currently offering two different systems for these patients. Our first system is a stylus featuring a gyroscope and an accelerometer to cancel or at least minimize the impact of the tremor as the users interact with touch screen devices. Our first system is suitable for Parkinson's patients with the tremor of 3-4 Hz frequencies and 5 cm amplitude. Our second product targets users with more sever tremor. Our second system is a docking station system, where electromagnets are used to detect the user's stylus (made of permanent magnets), filter the tremor, and predict the user's targets. Currently, we have a low fidelity prototype of our first system and a medium fidelity prototype of our second system. We've been constantly testing our design during last 5 months and received great feedback from Parkinson's community.
